1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. More than 43,000 people are estimated to have died from cancer in 2010 and an estimated 114,000 new cases of cancer were diagnosed in 2010. $378 million was spent on cancer research in 2000-01, 22% of all health research expenditure in Australia.
Cancer is caused by an imbalance between the number of cancer cells in the body and the strength of the immune system. This imbalance allows cancer cells to grow, be noticed and become dangerous.
The big problem with cancer research is that the public is lead to believe that the big next break through is around the corner. Look at any newspaper most weeks and there will be a story about a ‘new cancer cure.’ And yet when you stand back and look at what’s actually happening, our relatives continue to die and the cancer breakthrough turns out to be just another drug that causes cancer.
The big mistake is that the cancer industry is continuing to view the tumour as the cancer and we all know the tumour is not the cancer. If the tumour were the cancer that would mean we could cut the tumours out of the human body and they would never grow back. However, we know that’s not true and these tumours can and do grow back. And the reason they grow back is because the underlying metabolic process has not been corrected.
Mainstream medical treatment of cancer revolves around 3 treatments: surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapies, used either alone or in combination.
Chemotherapy and radiation therapy is toxic and cannot discriminate between cancer cells and healthy cells; thus, they damage both types of cells and cause serious and often debilitating side effects, frequently forcing patients to abandon treatment. They also destroy a cancer patient’s already fragile immune system. Chemotherapy and radiation therapies will never fix the original underlying cause of the cancer, often making patients sicker and usually decreases quality of life. Therefore, it is not surprising that many cancer patients now opt to complement conventional treatments with alternative therapies.
Natural Cancer treatments do three things:
- They safely get rid of cancer cells by gently killing the cancer cells.
- They strengthen the immune system and remove toxins.
- They shake up and correct the internal environment on which the cancer cells thrive, which in turn makes the body hostile to cancer cells.
