Homemade Nutella
Quick & easy to make, recreate your favourite childhood spread at home. If you love chocolate, you need to try this smooth and decadent homemade nutella! Recipe created by Dietitian Rebecca Gawthorne

Ingredients
- 400g blanched hazelnuts*
- 2 tbsp neutral oil of choice
- ½ cup cacao powder
- ⅓ cup sweetener of choice
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Spread hazelnuts onto a lined baking tray and roast for 8-10 minutes or until golden.
- Place roasted hazelnuts and oil into the Vitamix container and secure the lid.
- Start the blender at its lowest speed, then slowly to its highest speed.
- Blend for 5 minutes, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
- Stop machine and scrape down sides of container halfway through blending if necessary.
- Once a smooth consistency is reached, add remaining ingredients and secure lid.
- Start the machine, increase to its highest speed and blend until well combined and completely smooth.
Chef's Tip
For a nut free option, hazelnuts can be substituted for sunflower seeds.
