Vitamix Recipe Beet Pomegranate Citrus Smoothie

Pomegranate and beets are showcased in this smoothie, which also includes nutritious spinach and parsley.

Ingredients

  • 240 ml (1 cup) pomegranate juice
  • 300 g (2) oranges, peeled
  • 80 g (1) lemon, peeled
  • 70 g (½ ) beets, washed
  • 100 g (1 cup) Italian flat leaf parsley, tightly packed
  • 120 g (4 cups) spinach
  • 10 g (2 pieces) fresh ginger root
  • 390 g (3 cups) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
  3. Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached, using the tamper to push ingredients towards the blades.

Notes

The Vitamix machine will intensify flavour with it blending capabilities; the little bit of ginger will have a huge impact on the freshness of this smoothie. This recipe is packed to the top of the container with healthy ingredients.
