Vita-Mix are issuing an important safety notice in respect of Vitamix® 225ml and 600ml Blending Containers and Blade Bases which are compatible with certain Vitamix® Ascent® Series Blenders.

The clear containers and black blade bases are included with certain Vitamix® Ascent® Series Blenders such as the Ascent A2300i, A2500i and Ascent A3500i blenders and sold separately, as sets, or in bundles.

Through our ongoing quality inspection program, we have identified a potential safety issue with the US versions of the above containers. It is possible that the container may separate from the blade base exposing the blades to consumers, creating a laceration hazard.
While the US product is different from the international models, out of an abundance of caution, Vitamix has decided to issue a voluntary recall on all 225ml and 600ml Blending Containers and Blade Bases products globally.

It is important to note that the Australian models of these products have interlock technology and will not operate if the lid is loose or not put on correctly.

Vita-Mix has decided to offer consumers a free repair kit consisting of a protective plastic shroud to attach over the blade base, and additional instructional labels. Vita-Mix is putting in place the facilities to receive consumer enquiries as quickly as possible, and in the meantime is asking consumers to visit BlendingCupBowlRecall.expertinquiry.com to submit their details.

Vita-Mix will then contact these consumers and register them to receive a repair kit. Consumers in Australia can also call 1800 959 459 to register their details.
If you have not already done so, please immediately cease any further sales of the above products and quarantine any of these products in your possession. Please contact your Fackelmann Account Manager to arrange for your inventory to be returned.
